Simply the Best Bee Houses Join Wild Ones for a fun night of making your own bee houses. Bill Ferris (chapter member) and bee authority with Curt Holsinger will help everyone make their own bee houses beginning at 6:30 and ending at 7:30 p.m. in CNC's resource building's workshop. Everyone should bring pieces of either 2 x 4 inch or 2 x 6 inch untreated lumber and a battery operated drill with a 5/16 inch bit(if you have one)

Spring Wildflowers Walk with CNC Educator and chapter member, Jeanne Henderson. Meeting begins at 10 a.m. at Pine Haven Recreation Area near Sanford, Michigan. Chapter plant exchange and lunch (bring your own) follows at Randy Kurskinsy's house.

CNC Native Plant Sale begins and continues through Saturday, May 29th. Mid-Mitten Chapter will have a booth at the plant sale, answer native plant questions, and sell items

Minden Bog, Petroglyphs and Octogon Barn Thumb Area Day Trip Chapter members will leave early and visit the Minden Bog first. Next is a drive through the wind turbine farm area on the way to a stop for lunch in Ubly. After lunch the next stop will be the petroglyphs with a final stop at the Octogon Barn. If time and inclination is present there is also a proposed stop at the Fish Point bird observation deck on the way back to CNC. As the date nears more information can be had through contacting chapter president, Dawn Zuengler for reservations.
